Round 1:DogPatch by Whisperingtruth
Description/Story/Bio: I love this house! It was so fun to remodel, and now I'm going to give you a tour.

Here it is from a Look Down View - I went with green, white, cream and pinks to give it a soft lovely feel. I chose to add big Olive Trees, that are full green, and dark wooded trunks, to give shade. I added pink hydrangea's to give it soft color. I chose to color the house in green but do the front house wall in stone, to give it a cottage but classy feel. I changed all the windows and the doors, I wanted to pick soft white and cream to enhance the color of the doors and windows against the green and stone textures of exterior paint. I lined the path ways with tall angular bushes and two pink hydrangea's to make sure there was a clear path to the door. I moved the mailbox to the connecting sidewalk between the pathway to the door and the carport area to give ease of access for retrieval.
Carport - I added a carport topped with flowers to give it a really lovely look. The columns are green to match the house.
In the backyard I shortened the patio area, and put a new table, chairs in a light wood color. Recolored the bbq in green to match the house. I added a telescope for those logic minded buyers. I also put in a garden with different vegetables (potatoes, onions, omni's, tomatoes, lettuce) and fruits (watermelons, apples, limes). I also added a pond to draw people who like to fish. And under the olive tree I added a comfy bench to enjoy the backyard on a sunny day.
I changed the architecture around a bit inside the home to give a little more space, and change where things were. I added a laundry room on the left as you enter the front door, it's small, but adequate. On the right is a small office area, then further in on the right is the living room. On the left after the laundry room you will go through an archway into the kitchen, which has a lovely view of the backyard, and lovely patio doors. Then coming out of the kitchen to your left will be the bedrooms. The first is the guest/child's bedroom, and the second is the master suite. Both are connected to a bathroom behind the rooms. I chose to do the interior palette in beiges, browns, yellow, and orange here and there. It gives it a sort of french country look which I think fits the house nicely, and is complimented by light wooden textures throughout.
Like I had said before on the right when you enter the home you will see the office area which has a solid wooden computer desk & wooden swivel chair with a decent computer, and a lovely painting of some scenery above it.
Then comes the living room with its solid wooden furniture. There's a bookcase, couch, armchair, coffee table, and TV. It's all simple but comfortable, inexpensive but efficient. And to accent the room there's been a lovely tulip shaped lamp and rug which matches the palette of the interior.
On the left is the kitchen, it has a wonderful view of the backyard oasis as you can see here.
I went with elegant country cabinets, a nice country stove, and lovely tulip lights.
The table is solid wood, and I added a fruit bowl as an accent.
I chose to go with fun patterns in the guest/child's room but in the same color palette, just using yellow and orange more. The room is decorated mostly for a child, but can be changed to suit anyone's needs.
And last but not least we have the master's bedroom. It is done it the same palette but is slightly more sophisticated then the other room. Simple furniture, but easily upgradable.

However, the inside would need remodeling as well. I'm sort of glad I was the first person to go modern. Seeing other modern versions would have thrown me off. lol Well this was fun fun fun! Hope I make to the next round. *grits teeth, and crosses fingers*
