A Promiscuous Mayor

Lydia Maríe is a charismatic, fun loving; promiscuous stylist from our own town of Pleasantview and she is running for mayor. The rumor around town is that Lydia is a bit of a minx, but who is she really? And why is she running for mayor? We wanted to find out so we invited her to talk to us.

PGR: So Lydia, what would you say your 5 top traits are?

Lydia: Hmm…Charismatic, Rebellious, Flirty, Great Kisser, and Vehicle Enthusiastic.

PGR: Vehicle enthusiastic?

Lydia: Haha, I love a fast vehicle, like my motorcycle, Dara.

PGR: What is your favorite food? Music? Color?

Lydia: I love fruit parfaits. My favorite music is hip-hop. And I love the color lilac.

PGR: What’s your sign?

Lydia: Virgo

PGR: So, word around town is you’re quite promiscuous and a Minx. How does it feel to be known as such?

Lydia: Ha, Well I take pride in such a term. I come from a line of strong women. Women who know who they are and revel in their mind, beauty, and personality. I am proud of who I am and what I’ve got and feel there’s no shame in embracing that or expressing it. And I love to love, who can blame me, there are so many people out there who deserve love, and I don’t discriminate.

PGR: How does this view of you affect your job as a stylist?

Lydia: It greatly helps my business. I attract all sorts of clientele. Women like me because I make them feel ok in expressing themselves and what they’ve got No, dirty looks or snobby remarks coming from me. And men, well like pretty things, so there’s never a lack of male clientele.

PGR: So there was a story about you verbally attacking Mr. Nick Alto a prominent business man in our town. What was that all about?

Lydia: Mr. Alto is a bigot and deserves the tongue lashing that I gave him. Mr. Alto yelled and threatened a young employee’s job because he had shared a tender loving kiss with his new boyfriend outside his workplace, while off duty. Mr. Alto had no right to accost the young man and threaten his job just because of his orientation. Being a bi lady myself I have come into contact with bigots like Mr. Alto and I cannot stand for such discrimination.

PGR: So is the confrontation with Mr. Alto the reason behind your run for office?

Lydia: Although the catalyst of running for office is the “confrontation” with Mr. Alto. I’ve felt for a long time that we need more laws and protection for those who are of different orientations and lifestyles.

So as you can see, Lydia stands for confidence, being true to yourself, and accepting differences. Lydia Maríe is not your typical “mayor” type but an interesting candidate with a good heart none the less.
